Pregnancy Pictures
It has been quite awhile since our last post ... almost a year actually. A lot has happened in a year and it's time to get everyone updated! We are expecting our first child on Tuesday December 23rd!! Like we said, A LOT has happened in a year.
Let's start out with how we found out Emily was pregnant. On April 30th, Emily had a doctor appointment because she was having bad headaches. She thought it was a good idea to get it checked out to see if there was any medication she could take to make the daily headaches better. Little did we know; April 30th would change our lives forever! Emily told the doctor that they should probably give her a pregnancy test just to be sure. It took a good 15-20 minutes for the doctor to come back in the room with the results. The doctor held the paper up to Emily and pointed at three little letters that read "POS". Emily was unsure where to look on the paper so she said "what am I supposed to be looking for?" The doctor pointed at the "POS" and Emily just about fell on the floor. Emily tried her hardest to wait to get home to tell Brandyn but she couldn't contain herself and blurted it out on the phone. She told Brandyn "we are going to have a baby a week after your sister!" Needless to say, that was not exactly what Brandyn expected her to say. We were overwhelmed with joy and wanted to tell everyone; however Mother's day was around the corner and thought it'd be fun to wait. That weekend was Tulip Time so we headed to Pella. We had just found out Chelsea was pregnant so it was harder than ever to keep our lips sealed. After one night, Emily had had enough and needed to tell Nana & Papa not only to expect Chelsea and Josh's new addition but to expect one from us as well!! TWO grandbabies in December...WOW!! Emily's due date was Christmas Day; however the doctor has offered an induction which is happening tomorrow night (Monday December 22nd, 2008) at 9:30 p.m. The baby will be here by Tuesday December 23rd, 2008!! The pregnancy could not have gone better and we are more than ready to meet this new miracle on Tuesday.

It has been a while since this blog has gotten any attention and a lot has happened since the last posting. We had the Iowa Realty holiday party at Prairie Meadows Event Center and we had a real good time. We danced the night away, then, towards the end of the night, got to have our picture taken with Santa. I am on the wrong computer to do Maui pictures but they are soon to come....

Honeymoon in Hawaii
We just got back from vacation in Maui, Hawaii. The weather was beautiful the entire time we were there. We spent most of our time laying by the pool or on the beach. We went to several restaurants and enjoyed pineapple many times throughout the day! We went to a Luau one night and a helicopter ride on the last day. The trip there and home seemed like it took forever but it was worth it. Emily happened to get the flu the first night we were there but thankfully she was able to enjoy the last few days of our vacation. Hawaii is so pretty and you have to go at least once so you can see and enjoy Hawaii for all of it's beauty!! We'll be sure to get pics up ASAP!!
